1. Description
The Grenex Pile Cloth Disc Filter (GDisk) is a highly efficient filtration device that can operate effectively even when the SS concentration becomes high or the hydraulic load rate increases, unlike conventional filters. other. During filtration, solids are deposited on the outer surface of the cloth media forming a mat as the clean filtrate flows inside the filter cloth. GDisk is designed to automatically perform backwashing using the tank water level sensor without interrupting the filtration process. As solids accumulate on the surface of the cloth media, the flow through the media is reduced creating head losses and raising the water level inside the tank and triggering the level sensor. GDisk makes it possible to perform continuous filtration even during backwashing.
The backwash process uses a centrifugal or submersible pump to generate suction and remove solids from the surface of the fabric through a very efficient backwash shoe. This backwash process is not only excellent for responding to hydraulic loads and solids, but also ensures a low backwash ratio.
GDisk can be used after chemical coagulation/coagulation pretreatment to remove organic matter, phosphorus, color and sediment from wastewater and river water for drinking water purposes. GDisk can be built with concrete or steel tanks.
